Assign and delegate issues

Choose an owner, find assigned work, and understand agent availability.

Image placeholder: Issue ownership

Show the assignee picker on an Integrity Issue, with synthetic people and the unavailable delegation control clearly distinguished.

Overview

An Issue has one human assignee. That person owns the work; following an Issue is separate from being assigned to it.

Assigning issues

  1. Open an Issue's Assignee control, or select the assignee cell in its table row.
  2. Choose an eligible person, or clear the assignee.
  3. To assign several Issues, select their rows and use Actions → Assignee.

Assignment permissions

  • The picker lists people who are eligible for the selected Team.
  • You need permission to edit the Issue.
  • Direct-share-only readers cannot reassign it.

Delegating to agents (coming soon)

The delegation control does not launch an agent session yet. An MCP connection is separate from assigning an agent to an Issue.

Managing assigned issues

User views

Open My Issues → Assigned for your active work. Created, Shared, Subscribed, and Activity offer other personal views. Use assignee filters in Issue tables to focus on someone else's work where you have access.

Image placeholder: Assigned work

Show My Issues with Assigned selected and three synthetic Issues. Show an assignee filter; do not show an active agent filter.

History

The Issue's Activity records assignment, reassignment, and removal of an assignee.

Inbox

The creator and initial assignee are subscribed when an Issue is created. A newly assigned person is subscribed when they can read it. Reassignment does not unsubscribe earlier followers. Manage following separately.

Use Issue search and assignee filters to find accessible work. Searching by delegated agent is (coming soon).

Insights (coming soon)

Assignment and delegation analytics are not available.

Automation

Team Triage rules can route incoming work and set an assignee. Self-assignment preferences and Git-branch assignment automation are (coming soon).

Image placeholder: Self-assignment preference

Future illustration (coming soon). Show where a future create-and-assign-to-me preference belongs, once implemented. Use synthetic account settings.

Image placeholder: Code workflow preferences

Future illustration (coming soon). Show future Git-related assignment controls, once implemented. Clearly label the example as planned.

Open issues in coding tools (coming soon)

An Issue-level button that launches a configured local coding tool is not available. You can connect a compatible client through Coding Workflow and ask it to read an accessible Issue.

Image placeholder: Coding-tool handoff

Future illustration (coming soon). Show a future Work on issue control and its context prompt using Integrity styling. Do not depict it as available today.

Share issues from private teams

A direct share exposes only the selected Issue. It does not reveal the private Team or grant assignment and editing rights. Commenting follows the Team's separate comment policy. See Comments and reactions.

FAQ

Can I choose a terminal for opening Issues?

That app-level handoff is (coming soon). Configure your installed coding client directly for now.

Image placeholder: Terminal selection

Future illustration (coming soon). Show a future coding-tool settings selector for local terminal choice, only after the launch workflow exists.
