Overview

Archive work to remove it from active lists while retaining it. Delete an Issue to put it into recoverable deleted state. Integrity supports both manual and automatic archive.

Archived and deleted Issues are read-only until returned to active work. Direct-share-only recipients cannot open them while inactive.

Delete issues

  1. Open an active Issue's actions and choose Delete.
  2. Review the effect, including any parent/sub-issue choice.
  3. Confirm.

Use Actions for a compatible selection. Bulk deletion includes descendants. Deleting a parent individually can offer deleting only that Issue or its eligible hierarchy; the preview explains the choice.

Recoverably deleted Issues have a 30-day retention window. Permanent deletion cannot be undone. Team owners and workspace administrators with the required permission can permanently delete from Deleted Issues.

Auto-close (coming soon)

Closing stale Issues after an inactivity period is not available. Integrity's existing Parent auto-close instead completes eligible parents when their active direct children are completed or canceled.

Auto-archive

A Team settings manager can enable auto-archive under Issue Workflows, choose completed and/or canceled Issues, and select a window. The daily worker archives eligible work after that window.

Issues are not archiving

Check that auto-archive is enabled, the Issue has an eligible status, and the configured window has elapsed. Parents with active descendants are skipped.

Features are not archiving (coming soon)

Issue auto-archive does not provide Linear-style automatic Feature archival. Manage Feature lifecycle separately.

The archives

Open the Team's top-bar menu and choose Open archive. Use Archived Issues or Deleted Issues. You need Team-member access; public visibility alone is not enough.

Restore issues

  • Select archived work and choose Unarchive to return it to active work.
  • Select deleted work and choose Restore. Work deleted from the archive returns to the archive.
  • For a deleted hierarchy, restore follows the recorded cascade; independently deleted children are not revived.
  • Existing direct shares resume access only when the Issue returns to active work and the share is still valid.

Confirm the selected action. A bulk operation requires every selected Issue to allow it.
